Powdr Corp hires Brent Giles as Chief Sustainability Officer

Powdr Corp has welcomed Brent Giles as its Chief Sustainability Officer. Giles’ will now work to create and implement sustainability programs and initiatives at each of Powdr’s resorts.
“My focus has always been on creating a better place for my children, grandchildren and generations to come,” said Giles. “I look forward to working closely with all of Powdr’s properties to implement best practices in energy efficiency, which will continue to reduce our carbon footprint for years to come.  We must use whatever means are available to preserve the environment for future generations.”

Since 2006, when Giles was named Director of Environmental Affairs, Powdr Corp has cut its carbon footprint by more than half, the equivalent of the annual greenhouse gas emissions of more than 30,000 passenger vehicles. Prior to his new position, Giles enjoyed 33 years with Park City Mountain Resort. He served in a variety of positions, most recently as the Director of Mountain and Base Operations.
