EARTH DAY ACTIVATION: NICHE’S DUSTIN MORRELL

Niche Snowboards Owner/Operator Dustin Morrell

To mark Earth Day 2012 Transworld Business caught up with eleven thinkers and industry leaders to learn what the day means to them, and more importantly how it translates across their personal and professional actions not just today, but throughout the year. Here is what Niche Snowboards is doing...
What does Earth Day mean to you?
Earth Day to us at Niche isn’t about one day that we recycle. It’s good to set aside a day that you focus more on being green. This doesn’t mean that you don’t do this every other day of the year, but you can set goals to improve your daily activates.
Are you and your company doing anything around this year’s Earth Day?
Yes, we are all visiting national parks and enjoying nature!
What environmentally-focused goals has your business achieved since last Earth Day?
Niche strives to make our entire line as eco friendly as possible. In addition to Snappy Sap bio resin, HempHop, Digi-Print, recycled bases/sidewall, FSC wood cores, and Magma Fiber we introduced a new wood topsheet for ’12/13 that does not have any lacquer. Niche is also in the process of implementing a new program, where the purchase of each Niche snowboard will be great for the environment!
