Niche Snowboards Debuts New Line At SLC’s Milosport

One of my favorite environmentally conscious snowboard companies, Niche Snowboards, has partnered with Salt Lake City and Orem, Utah-based Milosport to unveil a limited amount of the brand’s new eco-friendly snowboards. Niche’s boards will hit shops nationwide next winter, but by partnering with its neighborhood retailer to debut the collection early, Niche hopes to increase brand awareness and support local shop sales.

“Milosport is the obvious choice when we thought of partnering with a shop for a sneak peek at our 2011/12 board line,” said Greg Hughes, VP of Sales and Marketing for Niche.

Milosport in Salt Lake City and Orem, UT will have limited quantities of Niche’s park-driven Theme. With a sustainably harvested wood core, cancer free Snappy Sap Bio Resin, and the use of basalt rather than fiberglass, the Theme showcases Niche’s commitment to future-friendly technology. According to Niche, their proprietary ingredients also create decks that are lighter, more impact resistant, and dampen vibrations better than those made with traditional materials. Featuring the art of Michael Sieben, the Theme aims to blend substance, style, and responsible stewardship. As Milosport Manager Jeff Perry states, Niche delivers “Fun boards and a true environmentally friendly product story to go along with them.”
