Venture Snowboards

Venture snowboards uses sustainable poplar and ash hardwood for their cores certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.  They have been powering their factory with wind energy since 2004 and now are currently building a new green snowboard factory in Silverton, CO.  This new factory plans to include passive and active solar features as well as recycled, reclaimed materials throughout.  Examples of this effort include using soy-based foam for insulation and reclaimed barn wood and corrugated metal for the exterior.  They source materials close to the factory and print all of their collateral materials on recycled paper with high post consumer content, and reclaimed scrap wood from their snowboard core manufacturing process and use it to make POP for retailers. Venture is also a member of One Percent For the Planet which donates 1% of annuals sales to environmental causes. Go to venturesnowboards.com to learn more!
