Environmentally Conscious Niche Snowboards Licenses Magne-Traction

Niche Snowboards, based in Salt Lake City, is excited to announce the recent acquisition of the Magne-Traction license from Mervin Manufacturing. The license will allow Niche to use Magne-Traction on all snowboards going forward with the 2012-2013 season. Niche is 100% committed to doing everything they can to be as eco-friendly as possible. Read the official release from Niche:

Salt Lake City, UT-Niche Snowboards is very excited to announce an agreement with Mervin Manufacturing to license Magne-Traction to be used on snowboards for the 2012/2013 season, and beyond.  Niche founder, Dustin Morrell had this to say: “Niche’s eco standpoint aligns well with Mervin Mfg.  We could not be happier with this partnership.  I am excited to release Magne-Traction technology with the combination of Niche’s  Hemphop, Snappy Sap, Digi-Print and Magma Fiber.  The Niche Aether is one kick-ass board that now comes with Magne-Traction.  It does not get any better!”
Niche will release a total of 60 limited edition 2012 Aether 156 models to celebrate with a special Michael Sieben graphic to be shipped in November. “I’ve been a cheerleader for the “wiggly edge” for many years and I’m happy to see it come to Niche.  We will do the design justice for sure,” said Greg Hughes, VP of Sales/Marketing.

Niche Snowboards Debuts New Line At SLC’s Milosport

One of my favorite environmentally conscious snowboard companies, Niche Snowboards, has partnered with Salt Lake City and Orem, Utah-based Milosport to unveil a limited amount of the brand’s new eco-friendly snowboards. Niche’s boards will hit shops nationwide next winter, but by partnering with its neighborhood retailer to debut the collection early, Niche hopes to increase brand awareness and support local shop sales.

“Milosport is the obvious choice when we thought of partnering with a shop for a sneak peek at our 2011/12 board line,” said Greg Hughes, VP of Sales and Marketing for Niche.

Milosport in Salt Lake City and Orem, UT will have limited quantities of Niche’s park-driven Theme. With a sustainably harvested wood core, cancer free Snappy Sap Bio Resin, and the use of basalt rather than fiberglass, the Theme showcases Niche’s commitment to future-friendly technology. According to Niche, their proprietary ingredients also create decks that are lighter, more impact resistant, and dampen vibrations better than those made with traditional materials. Featuring the art of Michael Sieben, the Theme aims to blend substance, style, and responsible stewardship. As Milosport Manager Jeff Perry states, Niche delivers “Fun boards and a true environmentally friendly product story to go along with them.”

To pick up a Theme at Milosport Salt Lake, drop into www.milosport.com or check out Milosport in Orem at www.facebook.com/milosport.orem.highland.
