Mountain Rider’s Alliance

Mountain Rider’s Alliance is a group of like-minded people dedicated to making a positive change in the ski area industry, as well as supporting the environment, surrounding communities, and decreasing fossil fuel dependency.

MRA promotes building mountain resorts that combine values-based, environmentally-friendly, rider-owned-and-operated ski area management with the business of alternative energy creation, otherwise referred to as ski-energy centers.

Mountain Rider’s Alliance ski-energy centers concentrate on decreasing our carbon footprint, while at the same time assisting the surrounding communities in energy independence.

It is MRA’s priority to develop sustainable mountain playgrounds that offer an epic riding experience, help the environment thrive and promote prosperity in our ski towns.

Our path to complete oil independence is in the infancy of its potential, but with citizens around the world working together to create change, there is the possibility for a cleaner and brighter tomorrow. Or as climate change activist and author, Ross Gelbspan, stated, "Climate change is not just another issue. It is the issue that, unchecked, will swamp all other issues. The only hope lies in all the countries of the world coming together around a common global project to rewire the world with clean energy. This is a path to peace --- peace among people, and peace between people and nature."

New Burton GMP Arctic Jacket

Yeah yeah yeah, this product description is way too long, but then again, the men’s Burton GMP Arctic Jacket has a lot to talk about. First off, this jacket uses eco-friendly and recycled materials wherever possible—including shell fabrics, waterproof/breathable laminates and finishes, linings, shock cords, elastics, buttons, zipper pulls, labels, and artwork applications. Another big surprise…this jacket is INSULATED! Not that shocking, really. It is called the Arctic Jacket. What might be shocking, though, is that in addition to the versatile warmth of lightweight, low-bulk Thermacore™ insulation, it’s got a Sherpa fleece blocked lining for added heat in all the right places. NEW Pow Grip™ hand-held holsters keep sleeves sealed up and locked in place. The arctic isn’t just cold and covered with penguins and seals and stuff, its windy and wet as well. That’s why the Arctic Jacket has been fully weatherized with our DRYRIDE Durashell™ 2L fabric, Fully Taped Seams, and the convenience of a removable waist gaiter with jacket-to-pant connectivity.

Ride Strapper AC Boot

Less weight, less parts, and less waste = a better design. The new Strapper AC snowboard boot is crafted with a new durable minimalist construction, Phy-Top. Originating from Ride’s Phylon Blown Light technology, Phy-Top takes their In2grated™ construction to a new level with an entirely new way of making snowboard boots. It all starts with an injection molded phylon foam Unibody that takes the place of 20-25 pieces in traditional boot construction. Thus eliminating many of the seams and glue points on the boot that can potentially cause material weakness and breakdown. Phy-Top construction results in a boot that has 40% less parts, 15% less weight, 50% less glue and a heck of a lot more durability, rebound and fun.  Perfect for the high-end freestyle guy, this boot also features the new Strapper Zonal™ lacing with speed lace down low for a quick secure closure, and Velcro closure up top for maximum adjustability and mobility. Built for all things freestyle, perfect for getting your jib, tweak & grind on!
